안녕하십니까.
서울대학교 철학과 BK21 철학교육연구사업단은 이번 10월 25일(월)부터 28일(목)까지 언어철학자 프랑소아 르카나티(François Recanati) 교수를 모시고 "현대 언어철학에서의 맥락주의"라는 주제로 4회의 초청강연을 개최합니다.
르카나티 교수는 최근 언어철학계에서 격렬한 논쟁을 불러 일으키고 있는 맥락주의(Contextualism)의 대표적 옹호자로서, 언어철학 분야를 선도하고 있는 세계적 학자 중 한 분입니다. 이번 초청강연은 맥락주의에 대한 논의를 중심으로 현대 언어철학의 주요 쟁점들을 파악할 수 있는 귀중한 기회를 제공할 것입니다.

※ 강연은 모두 영어로 진행되며, 각 강연당 90분간의 발표와 30분간의 토론이 이루어질 예정입니다. All lectures will be given in English. Each lecture will consist of a 90 minute presentation by Professor Recanati and a 30 minute discussion.
강연자 약력Lecturer Profile
프랑소아 르카나티 교수는 프랑스 파리 1대학에서 박사학위를 받고 현재 프랑스 최고 국가연구기관인 국립과학연구센터(Centre national de la recherche scientifique, CNRS)의 연구소장으로 재직하고 있습니다. 유럽 분석철학회 회장을 역임하기도 한 그는 언어철학과 심리철학 분야에서 영향력 있는 다수의 논문과 저서를 발표한 바 있으며 최근 들어 더욱 왕성한 연구 활동을 벌이고 있습니다. 대표적인 저서들은 다음과 같습니다.
- Meaning and Force (Cambridge, 1987)
- Direct Reference: From Language to Thought (Blackwell, 1993)
- Oratio Obliqua, Oratio Recta: An Essay on Metarepresentation (MIT, 2000)
- Literal Meaning (Cambridge, 2004)
- Perspectival Thought: A Plea for (Moderate) Relativitm (Oxford, 2007)
- Truth-Conditional Pragmatics (Oxford, 2010)
Professor François Recanati received a Ph.D at University of Paris-1 and is currently Director of Research at National Center for Scientific Research(Centre national de la recherche scientifique, CNRS) in France. He was a past President of the European Society for Analytic Philosophy. Professor Recanati published a number of influential papers and monographs in philosophy of language and mind, including the following books:
- Meaning and Force (Cambridge, 1987)

- Oratio Obliqua, Oratio Recta: An Essay on Metarepresentation (MIT, 2000)
