성균관대학교 철학과인문교육 연구소가 제 2회 논문발표회를 개최합니다. 이번 논문발표회는 2014년 5월 24일(토요일)에 있을 예정입니다. 이번 모임에서는 원석영 선생님, 김종엽 선생님 두 분이 발표하십니다. 각각 50분 발표, 30분 자유토론의 형태로 진행합니다. 사회자로는 김남중 선생님께서 수고해 주실 것입니다. 다음은 세부정보입니다.

발표논문:“The legacy of Descartes’ Skepticism”

Stroud takes the main concern and aim of Kant’s transcendental philosophy based on the distinction between the transcendental and the empirical to be the refutation of Descartes’ skepticism developed in the First Mediation of Meditations. In this paper I will try to show that Stroud’s understanding of Kant’s transcendental philosophy in that way is problematic: his interpretation is basically due to a misconception of what Kant’s transcendental deduction is supposed to do. To do this, I have divided my paper into two parts: in the first introductory part I will consider part of Stroud’s paper “Transcendental Arguments” in which he, relying on Kant, tries to establish criteria for deciding whether or not a given argument is transcendental. This consideration would be a very meaningful preparation for the main task which will be pursued in the second part of this paper since it will reveal that Stroud’s conception of Kant’s transcendental deduction involves serious deficiencies. At the meeting I will be reading the first introductory part only.

발표논문:“배제된 감정: 우울”

무언가에 눌려 무거움과 비애감을 느끼고 전체적으로 의기소침해지거나 무력한 상태에 빠지는 삶의 관계맺음을 현대의 실증학문은 정동장애((affective disorder)로 간주하고 건강한 삶으로부터 추방하고 있다. 우리의 주제는 우울함의 현상적 복잡성을 추적하거나, 그것의 치료적 대안을 제시하려는 것이 아니다. 오히려 정 반대이다. 우울함을 정신적 결함으로 간주하고 치료의 대상으로 삼는 사회심리적 경향은 다분히 정치경제적 맥락에서 유래한 것이다. 우울은 현대사회에서 일정한 목적을 위해 의도적으로 배제되고 낙인된 인격적 정서라는 의미이다. 우리는 우울함이 보이는 있는 그대로의 인격적 현상에 머무름으로써 그것이 무엇을 의미하는지를 실존적으로 분석할 것이다. 이는 복잡해진 삶의 관계로부터 유래한 현대인의 우울함을 통해 현대문명의 반인격적 구조를 비판하는 것이기도 하다.
